蝙蝠：
「在我看來，人類和蝙蝠是同類的，我們之間沒有差別。我將告訴你我們有哪些點是相同的。當人類的婴儿在母親的子宮裡時，他們也像我們一樣是倒掛的。他們這樣倒掛九個月零九天，卻沒學習到什麼。之後出生到這個外在世界， 就持續奔波忙碌。不該睡過多，但他們繼續睡；不該吃過多，但他們繼續吃；不該囤積過多財富， 但他們繼續囤積；那些不該在生命中投注太多精力的，他們持續在做。不該多說的，他們不斷說。因爲這樣，他們一直在浪費生命。那些該做的，他們沒做。他們應 該總是關注內在，而不是意識外放。他們應該靜心，讓自己從物質上自由。然而他們從不靜心。就算有靜心的，也是因為自私的目的。 所以現在你告訴我，即使你可以給這些人“自我覺醒”,他們卻利用它來達到個人成就。他們沒有持續靜心，於是不能得到自由，也無法達到解脫狀態。他們投生為 人後，一生都浪費在性行為，睡覺和食物上。所以人類跟我們有什麼分別？而那些得到‘自我覺醒’的人們，往往沒有持續靜心，以達到解脫，這又有何用呢？他們將會死亡，然後重生再次在母親的子宮裡，倒掛九個月零九天。所以說人類也是蝙蝠。現在你告訴我，這樣的人類和蝙蝠有什麼不同？我們也一樣，不停的飛，然後回來繼續倒掛。人類來到這個外在世界，忙碌地生活，也持續的回到母親的子宮裡倒掛。現在你告訴我，我們不是很相似嗎！ 」
My Salutations to all Pious Souls……
Deep Meditation Anushthan is going on and all the Guru-Energies are resident in person over there and the effect of their presence is taking place on the surrounding flora and fauna. An incident occurred today – everyday whenever I sat for meditation, some bats used to come and sit on the lattice facing me. I didn’t pay any attention to them, but one day when I looked at them with some attention I noticed that they were sitting equidistant from each other and they were sitting in a queue, I was a bit surprised nevertheless I did not pay much attention.
But this morning a miracle took place - as I was meditating this morning I heard a voice “Gurudev shower your Grace on us too”, “give us spiritual knowledge too”. I noticed that of the bats hanging on the lattice, the one sitting in front was speaking and appeared to be older in age too. Maybe he was their “Acharya”. Today I saw that they were sitting exactly in the same manner as our sadhaks sit at their centers. I told him that it cannot be given to you now, so he replied, “yesterday we saw you give spiritual knowledge to a crow, if you can give crows’ spiritual knowledge, why not us”? I replied that I did not like the crow giving up his body after he received spiritual knowledge. He had such a deep desire to take re-birth as a sadhak that he gave up his life as he wished to come as a sadhak during my lifetime. His entire attraction towards his crows’ body ended and he left his body effortlessly.
The elder bat said, I promise you that we will not do that, humans will not understand the suffering of hanging upside down; but we very well know the trouble of hanging upside down because our entire life has gone in hanging upside down. Now you give us spiritual knowledge and next birth we will take as humans and get “freedom” from hanging upside down because the next birth as humans we will utilize for obtaining salvation.
No Gurudev you only tell us what is the “difference” between us and humans. I said that you are “bats”, “humans” are in the end humans, mankind is that in which a person if he so wishes can reach the state for “salvation” during his life time, and this same state for salvation he can maintain till he dies. That is why humans have a right to obtain spiritual knowledge and that is why I only give it to them. I am only a medium for the Guru Energies; because they desire it they obtain self-realization, I myself do not do anything, because of their desire they receive it. By meditating they free themselves from domestic matters, and this state of “freedom” is called “salvation”. Once they become “free” there is no reason left to take another birth. The elder bat said you are saying this because you have become “free”. But just by obtaining spiritual knowledge does man become “free”? In my view humans and bats are one of a kind, there is no difference between us; I will tell you in what manner we both are the same. After saying this, the elder bat started speaking. When the human child is in the mothers’ womb, like us he too is hanging upside down, and by hanging in this manner for nine months and nine days he does not learn his lesson. He takes birth and comes to the outer world and keeps on running. Now just as he should not sleep in excess, he keeps “sleeping”, he should not eat in excess but he keeps on “eating”, he should not hoard excess “wealth” but he keeps on hoarding it, what he should not do in excess in life he continues doing it. He should not “speak in excess”, he keeps on speaking, by doing all this he keeps on wasting his life. What he should do he does not do, he should always keep his “chitta” within, but he puts it outside, he should “meditate” in order to “free” himself from all these matters, but he does not meditate at all, and if at all he does meditate he does it for selfish reasons. So now you tell me that even if you give these people self-realization, that self-realization will be utilized by them for personal accomplishments. They will not “meditate” and hence will not become free, as they won‘t be free they won’t obtain the state of “salvation” and after taking birth as humans they will spend their life only having sex, sleep and food, so what is the difference between them and us. Talking about hanging upside down, what is the use if these humans even after obtaining “self-realization” do not “meditate” and obtain “salvation” in this life, then they will die and have to take a new birth again. Then again he will go into some mother’s womb and hang upside down for “nine months and nine days” that is why man is also just a bat. Now you tell me what is the difference between such type of people and bats? We too used to fly but keep coming back to hang upside down, similarly man also keeps on hanging upside down. He comes outside, lives a hectic life and comes back into the mothers’ womb to hang upside down. Now tell me aren’t we both the same! And on saying this, the elder bat closed his eyes and very humbly prostrated before me and then I saw that all the other bats had copied him and looked like they were offering a collective prayer.
On seeing this I was extremely touched – by keeping the sentiment that where there is a collectivity of souls, Paramatma is always there I took some water in my hands and consecrated it and said the Guru Mantra thrice and sprinkled this water on those bats. Then elder bat said that we have been blessed on receiving “spiritual knowledge” from you in this birth, and our birth as bats has been successful. This birth we have received “spiritual knowledge” and hence please bless us that we obtain the state of salvation in our next birth as humans, as we have suffered the fate of hanging upside down. We will definitely use our birth as humans to obtain the state of salvation because in our next birth we do not again want to suffer the fate of hanging upside down. We have realised this through the fate we have suffered.
On hearing the talks of the elderly bat I was amazed and felt that really he was speaking the truth. A human child does hang upside down in his mothers’ womb, and nobody learns from this and in his birth performs pointless work and again prepares himself to hang upside down in another mothers’ womb and this cycle he keeps on repeating again and again.
What will happen by just learning meditation and what will happen if the available “spiritual knowledge” is not assimilated by the person then there is no gain. There is a saying that “the fruits of the Guru’s work will go to the Guru and that of the disciple will go to the disciple”; this is known to be true, after obtaining “spiritual knowledge” man should recognize its importance and make this human birth “meaningful” and save themselves from this state of “hanging upside down” is my prayer to God.
