Marriage is the union of two pure souls. The man and woman, both complement each other through their suitability, feelings, emotions and special characteristics. They accept Lord Shiva and his consort Uma(Parvati) as their role models and follow them. Their souls are united through the vows of deep love, which they observe despite being two different physical bodies, two minds and intellects, two hearts and two lives. This is the real form of marriage. The couple moves forward on the progressive path like two wheels of the chariot of life. The place given to passion and lust is insignificant in married life. The main objective of married life is - the creation of supreme power through the union of two souls which can prove to be helpful in their social life and aid their spiritual development.
