SATGURU’S
VOICE (7)
My Salutations to all Pious Souls…………..
Paramatma’s energy is prevalent in every atom
and particle in this universe and we become aware of it wherever it is in
collectivity. Similarly, 800 years ago a ‘medium’ had sat in such a place
filled with consciousness and had
obtained this experience; and on obtaining this experience had expressed a
desire that this ‘experience’ should be obtained by the entire world. The
main source of this ‘experience’ is ‘universal consciousness incarnate’; but
that ‘medium’ had succeeded in emptying Himself completely in order to absorb
this consciousness. He absorbed it (consciousness) and in His life-time
established it in some disciple of His and gave up His body.
1.
MEDIUM
That new ‘medium’ too preserved the experience of knowledge during His life-time
and gave his contribution; and then in the ‘latter part’ of His life
established this in some disciple of His and obtained a vision of His Guru. And
this tradition has been continuing for the past 800 years. This river of
knowledge had been continuing on its journey for so many years, because its
objective was to meet the ocean of collectivity some day; and during the course
of this journey the ‘mediums’ kept changing, but the direction of progress was only one, the ‘goal’ was only one – to go
and merge with the ‘ocean’. On seeing this noble and magnificent goal, many
Sages, ‘Kaivalya Kumbhak’ Yogis, ‘Jain Munis’, ‘Buddhist’ Saints and ‘Muslim’
Fakirs have blessed the mediums of this goal. Only one medium managed to reach society, hence society has
knowledge of only one ‘medium’; this is a chain of ‘mediums’, which are always with the ‘medium’ in
subtle form, but only the medium is visible, because He is near, He is
close, and people see Him only.
It is important to take inner knowledge to the
ordinary person – this is a ‘mission of imparting knowledge’. Mediums came and
gave their offering to this mission in their life-time and went away; and they
never let this mission come to a halt, and this mission continued for 800
years. This is a ‘penance’ which has been continuing ceaselessly for the past
800 years. Its beginning is also a
medium, and its end is also a medium. During these penances the bodies may
have changed, shapes may have changed, forms may have changed; but the inner
form is one, and the ‘pure wish within is also only one’. And every medium established the ‘inner form’ within Him into the next
medium and obtained a ‘vision of the Guru’; you are living in the life-time of
the last of this series of Gurus. Now this Narmada (river) in the form of a
pure wish is merging in the ocean at Bharuch; from now onwards, the river
Narmada will no longer be called a river, because it has merged with the ocean.
Similarly, now the medium too will no longer remain a medium, He will be known
as the ocean of collectivity. The medium too has established His ‘existence’ in
the eight Divine Idols, and simultaneously made a pledge, that in the next 800
years whichever pure soul comes in the proximity of these Divine Idols with the
wish to obtain ‘inner knowledge’, that soul will obtain self-realisation. By
taking this pledge, the last medium in this series has established the ‘flow of
the Guru Element’ which is within Him in these eight Divine Idols. The ‘flow of
consciousness’ which is within them will flow continuously even after the
medium (has gone). The medium is not important, it is important that the wealth
of ‘inner-knowledge’ should be preserved. Every Guru loves the knowledge which
is within Him more than himself. The pledge which the medium had
made for the establishment of eight Divine Idols has been completed during this
Deep Meditation Anushthan; now I don’t know whether there will or will not be a
Deep Meditation Anushthan in the future; it is possible that this could be the
last Deep Meditation Anushthan. Now the medium’s pledge has also been
fulfilled; now the medium is ‘free’ from this ‘pledge’ too, which has been
going on continuously for the last eight years. Now if any Guru-karya takes
place it will be possible only if the Guru Energies wish it, as now the medium
does not have any wish.
2.
EIGHTH
DEEP MEDITATION
Now when these eight Deep Meditations have been
completed and when I look back upon those eight years, then I can feel the
process which is taking place within, in the Deep Meditation Anushthan. And I
did not have any knowledge whatsoever of the kind of atmosphere required, the
kind of purity required, and the kind of holiness required for this. There was
a shortage of the feeling of closeness, where we are staying, where we are,
whom we are with, what practice is going on within - they did not have any knowledge
of this, and neither was their attention
(chitta) on it – they were pre-occupied in their daily routine.
I
used to suffer the consequences of these matters within, during my spiritual
practice. Now I have completed my spiritual practice with whoever came in
contact with me, because I was bound by
a pledge; and whatever benefit I
used to get from the spiritual practice
during the Deep Meditation Anushthan, I used to distribute it amongst my
mediums, i.e. the Trustees. And today I feel that the divine energy which I had
distributed was left unutilised and has been
wasted by the ‘Trustees’, i.e. the divine energy has also been mis-spent
, and time too has been wasted, this is the biggest loss of ‘our establishment’.
Now my pledge has been fulfilled, and now if this
Anushthan takes place, it will take place in a proper manner otherwise not,
because now the pledge has been fulfilled.
The process of life-force consecration in the Divine
Idols is very complicated and time consuming. First the Idol has to be
purified, because the metal has to be purified in the beginning. After praying
for the welfare all the people - those labourers, those traders through whose
medium the metal was handed over, then those sculptors and artists, those who
donated money for this Idol, the sadhaks who helped in establishing it – after
doing all this, the process of consecrating the life-force commences. First the
Guru Energies are invoked from the East, then invocation takes place from the
South, then invocation takes place from the West, and then invocation takes
place from the North; and then the energies are established in the Idol. When
the ‘consecration of life-force’ commences, the consciousness of the Divine
Idol is zero (0) and mine 100%. Later, during the last eight days of the Deep
Meditation Anushthan we both come to an equal - 50% 50% - state.
Now the problem which is created is that after
transferring life-force into the Idol I have to return to my body daily, and returning daily is very
difficult, because the same state exists
in both places, so I keep carrying out different kinds of experiments to return.
Generally, I fix the subsequent Guru-karya - like this time I have fixed a
shibir for Jain Munis on 5th March, a shibir for Doctors has been
fixed in Rajkot, and I will increase programmes significantly. I have to
explain all this to myself, that this is what I will do – and as all this cannot happen while sitting inside
the Idol, hence it is necessary to come out of the Idol. Next, I do not
just go and sit inside the Idol with my chitta, I sit along with this ‘pledge’
that whichever person comes with whatever desire should be fulfilled just by
viewing (darshan of) the Idol, even if the pilgrim asks for ‘self-realisation’,
even then he should obtain it. Next, when I sit inside the Idol and meditate,
then that state of meditation is obtained by the Idol; and it is only because
of that state, that the Idol obtains live energy. Thus, this is a very ‘risky’
job. There is no attraction to return to the body from the Idol, the ‘Idol’
becomes equal to the body; and if I do
not return on any day, it will be considered to be ‘death’, hence after every
Deep Meditation Anushthan I consider myself to be re-born. This is the
experience one gets after being established in the Idol – assume that you have
reached the high peak of ‘(Mount) Kailash’;
you have reached the peak after great effort, so you will have the
desire to stay there only, you won’t feel like coming down at all. This is
exactly what happens; there is absolutely no desire to come out of the Idol.
3.
NEGATIVE
ENERGIES
The
negative energies also always create such a bad state during the Deep
Meditation Anushthan through the medium of sadhaks, so that I should not return
to my body. The negative energies cannot ever come themselves; they will always
come through the ‘medium of sadhaks’. They come every year, the sadhaks are different, but
their ‘goal’ is the same.
This time too it has happened. This time the situation is more delicate, because the pledge for
the Divine Idols is being completed; i.e.
they are seeing that the pledge will no longer be a reason for coming out (of
the Idol), what happens in the future is not in my hands, as it is, nothing has
ever been in my hands. Whoever Paramatma makes His ‘medium’, he does not have anything to show that he
has done it. I remember that my Gurudev used to say that my wife is ‘Divine
Energy personified’. In life, whether there is work at home, work at school,
work of the children, societal work, work of relatives, household work – at that time, my wife is always at the
forefront. I have always stayed in the background. Today, there are lakhs (millions) of sadhaks, scores of Acharyas, a
dozen Trustees; even then, today also , ‘Guruma’ has to make rounds of the
police station, of the court to save the Ashram land, and even today she is at
the ‘forefront’. I have always stayed in the background, and even today I
am in the background, very safe.
During this Deep Meditation Anushthan, the feeling of
surrender of sadhaks, their love for the Ashram has become very clear - they have no clue at all of what is
happening. My Guru used to say that your wife is ‘Divine Energy
personified’ – and today I am feeling that I
am burning like an incense stick in front of her and you, and you obtain
happiness from the fragrance of the energy (which is released) on my burning. ;
The medium of Paramatma is never in the state to do anything physically;
hence He does not have the opportunity to say that He has done it. You do not
have any idea how profound the Deep Meditation Anushthan is; I have made it
clear, so that at least during this Anushthan you should realise it. The Guru Energies are always with the Guru;
obstacles may come, but they will come only through the medium of sadhaks. If
you cannot obtain anything from here, then at least let others obtain something,
what else, when the truth is that only ‘Guruma’ is capable of bringing me
out. I felt that this eighth Deep
Meditation Anushthan is like a ‘mirror’, in which I came to know what our
state is and the kind of misuse we have made of such a pure Anushthan.
The Guru
Energies knew what was going to happen in the future, hence the Guru Energies
announced their successor. Then a rumour was spread stating that they should
not go for the ‘Mumbai Marathon’ as their
(successors’) accident may take place. The other rumour which was spread
was that participating in the Marathon
is not ‘authorised’, whereas during
the Kutch Chaitanya Mahotsav, the Trustee had himself called for the sadhaks’
participation; and all these things have been done by the negative energies
through the medium of sadhaks. Now I do not want to take the name of the person
who has done this as I do not want him to go into a feeling of guilt, but they should themselves introspect – if
I can become a medium of the ‘negative energies’ even during the Anushthan,
then what is the extent of my ‘faith’ and ‘surrender’ towards the Guru
Energies! I feel only ‘pity’ for your
state. You show the people the colour of the clothes which you are wearing, and
people see that colour too.
4.
EFFECT
Hence, whatever you think of yourself, the others
think of you in the same manner. The ‘effect’ on the people you speak with, is
the same as the state in which you go and speak to them. Ordinarily, when a
person gives a speech he uses the energy of two chakras, they are the
‘Swadishthan’ (sacral) and ‘Vishuddhi’ (throat), i.e. he has a thought, thinks
and then talks; and what does he think about – what had been written in which
‘book’ and what I had read – thus his attention (chitta) is on the book which
he had read. And ordinarily the book is lifeless, it is not that the books are
always lifeless (there are many books which have been written physically, but
its original author is always different – a person writing such a book is
always a medium; now the question is, who has the knowledge of these books and
to what extent he has read them). Now if you place your chitta on lifeless
books and speak – how will there be Divine Energy in our speech; this talk will
be at the intellectual level and will also influence the listeners, but the
listeners will not be able to understand it. In that case, what is the use of
your speech – they will hear what you have said with one ear and let it out of the other; and the
more the quantum of ego of ‘I’ you have in your speech, that much lower will be
its level. Hence, while giving a discourse I always steady my chitta on the
‘Lotus Feet of my Guru’, so naturally my chitta goes on to the ‘Sahastrar’
(crown). By doing this, all the
chakras open up and your state becomes like that of a pipe and we become
‘mediums’ of ‘universal consciousness’. Then the true knowledge which is within
us starts flowing from within in the form of consciousness, and this
consciousness also starts flowing through our ‘voice’. Next, we do not perform
all this with our body and hence we can speak non-stop for three hours, without
drinking water – this is because the body has no role whatsoever. Thus, one
does not feel tired nor does one feel thirsty. Thinking, remembering what is
written in a book – these physical activities also do not take place, hence, first meditate regularly and then talk.
5.
COLLECTIVITY
OF LANGUAGE
Now we will talk about language – ‘Mai ek pavitra atma hoon, mai ek shuddha
atma hoon’ (I am a pure Soul, I am a
holy Soul) –I have been chanting this mantra in its original inner form
since my birth, whereas I did not know Hindi during my childhood, and all this
may be because of the influence of my previous birth.
It is also possible that this mantra may have
originated in Sanskrit first and then come in Hindi, but I have been chanting
it in Hindi since my childhood. Secondly, I never used to chant it verbally –
the chant used to play continuously within me. Whenever you sit in my proximity
and chant this while meditating, then this chant keeps continuing within you.
You do not chant this verbally but its chant keeps continuing within you;
similarly, this keeps continuing within me too. I have also experimented on
this; you too experiment for yourself and see – this mantra is not as effective
in any other language as it is in the Hindi language. When the thought about
this reason came – it is because the mantra has obtained its collectivity in
the Hindi language. The goal of this mantra is to always make us feel that we
are a Soul.
6.
DIVINE
ENERGY OF TRUTH
The strength of the Soul is dependent on purity. The foundation of a spiritual life itself has
been placed on purity. We apply the meaning of purity only to the purity of
our body - that we should bathe and perform religious ceremonies; but the
meaning of purity is quite extensive - your thoughts should always be pure and
your chitta too, should always remain pure. Any kind of thought which comes to
mind (chitta) can mar its purity, i.e. you should be pure in thoughts and also
in your mind (chitta). And I am a holy
soul, here the meaning of the word holy, is related to ‘truth’. You are
fully accepting that you are a Soul; that this is the only truth. Hence,
whenever you speak the ‘truth’, the Divine Energy of truth flows through your
speech. A kind of energy is created in the voice of those who always speak the
‘truth’, and then the Divine Energies make whatever has been said by them, to
come true.
7.
AURA
Today the situation is not the same as in the past,
science has progressed tremendously. When I used to speak about chakras and
aura 25 years ago, the doctor sadhaks used to say, we are surgeons, we have
seen every part of the body but we have never seen the ‘chakras’ inside the
body. They cannot be seen because they are present in subtle form, but machines have also come through which
the ‘aura’ can be seen. It is possible that in the future a machine may be
invented by which you will be able to see the chakras.
Science has yet to reach many more spheres. Today or
tomorrow it will progress – we can find references in our scriptures about the
chakras within the body. Recently I had carried out an experiment – fill ‘rose water’
in a large utensil and place it in front of the photo of the subtle body; then
bless the rose water by chanting the Guru Mantra thrice and praying, and then
dip a small towel in the rose water and soak it completely, and then wipe your
entire body with that rose water. Then
you will experience the ‘purity’ and ‘holiness’ of your aura. This experiment
can easily be carried out where there is no facility for bathing. The bad
effect of our surroundings and of bad energy always falls on our clothes.
Hence, whenever you feel tired, you have mental
tension, if you have returned from a journey, if you have come from a crowded
place and you come home and change your clothes, you will feel very good;
because the effect of the surroundings falls on our clothes only. Secondly, in
the morning we should always meditate while facing the rising sun, by doing
this we also feel good and at the same time many sadhaks are meditating in
collectivity. We also obtain the benefit of their collectivity and also at that
time all the Divine Energies are on the ascendant; and for this reason we
obtain assistance for the divine energy within us to ascend. Next, it has been observed that the percentage of
Vitamin D is lesser in the vegetarians, and that Vitamin D deficiency can be
rectified by sitting in the sunlight.
8.
FORM
AND INNER FORM
Paramatma is formless, but the path to reach Him is in
a tangible form. Even if the incense stick burns completely, its fragrance
remains in the atmosphere for a considerable period of time.
In the same manner, Paramatma came to earth and also
left. He came through different ‘mediums’, but no one could recognise Him
during His life-time; He was not recognised because the form that the ‘medium’ had taken on became an obstacle to the
‘inner form’. The form is perishable, but the inner form is eternal. Even
after the form has gone, its inner form always remains; and then only the inner
form remains, so it can be easily recognised. The ‘medium’ is the form and the
Divine Idols are the ‘inner form’. In future, the form will be no more, but the
inner form will always be present through the Divine Idols; the work of the
Guru Energies is being performed with an eye on the future. It is a law of
physics that matter does not get destroyed - it only changes ‘form’, and this
is similar. When the form is not there, then the form will become the inner
form and perform the future Guru-karya, and this will continue till the 800
year pledge is fulfilled.
9.
SAMADHI
There are two ends to life – life and death – i.e.
taking birth and dying. This is a rule of ‘nature’, and this rule is applicable
uniformly to everyone. This very rule is also applicable to the ‘Satguru’. To
go beyond the body during the life of the Satguru and then come back to the
body, this process is a part of His ‘spiritual practice’. Every atom and
particle of the body gets used to this process of leaving and re-entering the
body. The body on which there is absolutely no control of the body and for
years together the ‘Soul’ only has control, then every particle of this body is
influenced by its will-power. Have you ever thought what could be the reason
you feel good and happy when you go near a Samadhi? Because in that Samadhi a body which was connected
to lakhs (millions) of souls during His life-time and lakhs (millions) of souls
were connected to Him is kept there; for this reason a collective energy is
connected with that body.
Now we will try to understand this subject in greater
detail. The body is perishable – after keeping the body in the Samadhi the body
must be melting and getting destroyed. That is correct – the body’s flesh and
the body are destroyed after some time. But the ‘bones’ which are inside the
body will always be present, and it is the effect of the Divine Energy from
these ‘bones’ which can be experienced for years together, for several miles in
the surrounding atmosphere. In my childhood, I had (heard) a story about Shree Dadhichi Rishi (sage) out of whose
‘bones’ Lord Indra (leader of the Gods and the Lord of heaven in
the Hindu religion, who wields a weapon known as the ‘Vajra’) had
prepared the ‘Vajra’ (a lightening thunderbolt), and to make the ‘Vajra’ he had
sacrificed his life. Meaning, those ‘bones’ had so much strength that they
could kill the demons; and he could perform all this only because of his
life-long penance; and with the ‘Vajra’ made of those bones he had killed the
demons.
Thus it is known from ancient times, that based on how
man has lived his life, the influence through
the medium of it’s ‘bones’ is preserved after he is enshrined.
This is the reason why, when we go to Shree Ramana
Maharishi’s Ashram in Arunachalam, we go into deep meditation; when we go near
the Samadhi of Shree Saibaba in Shirdi we go into deep meditation; thus the
collectivity which the Satguru had preserved during His life-time, the same
Divine Energy of that collectivity is experienced near the ‘Samadhi’ of the
‘entombed Satguru’. Not just around the Samadhi, the Divine Energy from the Samadhi
keeps flowing in the entire surrounding area. We do not know anything about the
Divine Energy flowing from the ‘bones’ now, but this is an incident related to
my spiritual practice. The mother of a baby elephant had died, and the baby
after growing up would still go to the place where its mother’s bones were kept
every year, by recognising its mother’s energy. This shows that elephants have
knowledge of the energy emanating from bones.
The difference between an ordinary person and a
Satguru is only of living – an ordinary person lives with his body and the
‘Satguru’ lives with His soul; and this is the difference which bestows
uniqueness to the Satguru’s ‘Samadhi’; and that is the reason why a Satguru’s Samadhi
is prepared, so that even after a Satguru is entombed, His collective Divine
Energy is preserved. And He can continue to give guidance to many future
generations who come in the proximity of that ‘Samadhi’, so that even an
ordinary person will be able to experience peace and happiness. The Divine
Energy flowing from the ‘Samadhi’ of Satgurus has been connected to the inner
form of the Divine Idols. The energy of collectivity will be spread all over
the world by making all these Divine Idols the mediums. A very big plan for the future has been prepared by the Guru Energies, and
this subtle process will commence as soon as the medium gives up His body.
Recently I had gone on a trip to Sri Lanka. In Kandy
city, there is a temple of a ‘tooth’ of Gautam Buddha. I visited that temple
too, and I realised that the energy from that tooth can be experienced from a
distance of several miles.
Similarly, in Kashmir there is holy place where a
‘holy (strand of) hair’ has been kept and that is why that place is named ‘Ekbaal
Sahab’. Thus, whosoever is the medium of universal consciousness, very few
people know them during their life-time, but after they give up their body –
because of their tooth, hair, nail, and bones they keep influencing ordinary
people with their Divine Energy. The
maximum is from the ‘bones’, because later on a kind of magnetic element is
created in these ‘bones’, and from all over the world people are attracted to
this skeleton of bones and are pulled towards it, because there they obtain
inner peace.
10.
DONATION
WITH EGO
Now I will tell you the story of an egoistic sadhak. I keep saying again and again, that the good
deeds performed with ego do lead us to the Satguru, but do not keep us near the
Satguru. I am giving you this example so that you may always donate with your
Soul and not with the ‘ego’ of your body, nor with any ‘expectation’. Donation should always be made for the ‘joy’ of the
Soul.
Similarly, there was an old close sadhak of mine, Shri
Bipinbhai Patel who had performed many good deeds in his past birth, but he had
performed them with an ‘ego’ and this I had come to know from the outset. I had
known him from the time of the ‘Amalsad’ shibir. He never got along with other
sadhaks, and only I was close to him;
and I also used to tell him that it is not a new thing if I get along with
anybody, because I get along with
everybody in this world. He had an office at Ashabaug (in Navsari), and the
Trustees were carrying out the task of looking for a place for the Ashram; and
many sadhaks were also doing (that work). I was at the house of a sadhak, named
Ramesh Patel in London – at that time I got a phone call from him saying that I
have found a place for an Ashram at ‘Dandi’, I wish to gift it to you on your birthday.
(He said) - Please do not inform anyone, I wish to astonish
everyone by giving this land to you in front of everyone, and I said okay. At
‘Bhavnagar’ my birthday programme took place – here he gifted me the plots of
land numbered 750 – 751 -752 – 753 – 754 in front of thousands of sadhaks.
Later, I appointed him as the project
leader and asked him to complete the formalities related to registration of the
land and its conversion to N.A. (non-agricultural). Later on, he only was
looking after the work. Under his supervision, the road from Dandi to the
Ashram, the electricity line connected to all five parcels of land, building
temporary huts - all the work used to be carried out under his guidance all the
time. And it is my nature that if I
trust someone, I trust him completely. I trusted him also completely and I
used to go and visit the Ashram along with him only. No Trustee used to
interfere in his work either, because he
was Swamiji’s man.
I was the one who used to call him asking for
information on the work entrusted to him. First of all, I personally do not own even a single (square) foot of land, so I did
not have any experience about land. He was very knowledgeable about these
matters, and the Trustees used to sign wherever he asked them to; they would make
payments wherever he asked them to. This went on, but even after seven years
the permission for N.A. did not come. Daily the number of sadhaks was
increasing, and there was a need for new construction. In 2008, a shibir was
held at Ajmer wherein Shri Deepak Sharma joined – he too had knowledge about
such matters. I made him (Shri Deepak Sharma) join forces with him (Shri
Bipinbhai), and also gave them three more sadhaks so that the formalities may
be completed quickly. Later, he started talking of going to Canada, so I told
him to hand over all the papers to the sadhaks. Prior to this he had registered plots 751 – 752 in his wife’s name and
then had given it in the name of the Trust. But the remaining three parcels
of land remained (to be transferred). Without giving the papers to anyone he
went to Canada and later he returned and transferred plot number 750 in his
wife’s name. And then he started saying - I will transfer it in the name of the
Ashram today, I will transfer it tomorrow and he went on saying this, but he
did not transfer that plot to the Ashram.
Later, he met me and told me that his feeling had
changed and he did not want to give it, and later on he started asking for ten
times its actual value (as payment). My state was as if I was sitting and relaxing at home, and then I had to leave for Mumbai
and he came and said - come I will take you to Mumbai and instead he dropped me
off in the jungles of Manor, saying that if you give me ten thousand rupees
then I will take you to Mumbai. If he did not want to take me to Mumbai why did
he come and pick me up from my house? And if he had not dropped me,
somebody else would have done so. Thus, if he wanted to donate such a small
parcel of land then we would not have taken a decision to build an Ashram. In
this manner, he taught me a lesson
and from this lesson I and my sadhaks
learnt that no land should be taken in the form of donation from anyone. We
should buy the land through collective efforts, and later on that is what
we did.
This sadhak did not complete the NA formalities on
time and so the Trust had to pay rupees
one crore fifty lakhs as damages to the Government. He said that as he has
donated the land to the Trust, he has placed the entire responsibility on the
Trust saying that the Trust should take care of all the Government expenses in
the future.
Now all these matters are being decided by the Court.
He had prayed to the Court for an extension of the date from 16th
January to 13th February. But before this, on 4th
February he brought Government officials accompanied by police officers and
with their assistance took forcible possession of plot number 750 and built his
compound. Thus he kept the officials as well as the police officers in the dark
about the pending court case, he hid
this matter from everybody, and he is now also in contempt of the Court. Thus,
man performs one wrong deed and then the negative energies make him do the
subsequent wrong deeds. That is why, my Guru used to say, perform the first deed in your life, whatever it is, after thinking it
through – this is an example of that.
11.
THE
FUTURE OF DANDI
Due to
global warming the sea levels are going to rise in future, and this Dandi
Ashram and its surrounding areas will go under water.
Hence, to ensure that
this would not happen, the Guru
Energies wanted the medium’s ‘Samadhi’ to be built in Dandi so that this area
would be safe from nature’s fury for at least 800 years. Secondly, if there
was a live Samadhi in Dandi, then the entire
area of South Gujarat would have come under the influence of the Samadhi
and the youth in the entire area of South Gujarat would have got a new
spiritual energy and inspiration. And a pure place would have been created in South Gujarat where people from all over
the world would come to obtain inner knowledge and inner peace. Then today
for people all over the world this Dandi
Ashram would have been a place of faith, people from all over the world
would have come and the commerce and trade in ‘Navsari’ would have increased. But now all this is not possible.
12.
LOSS
OF SOUTH GUJARAT
Just the ego
of one sadhak has poured cold water
on the future plans of the Guru Energies, and now the ‘medium’s’ Samadhi will
not be made on such a controversial
piece of land, and the location for
this Samadhi will shift to some other place.
Along with the Samadhi, the Old Age Home plan, plan
for an Ayurvedic Hospital, Yoga Training Centre, Children’s Centre for
inculcating Values – all these plans are being shifted to other Ashrams. Now
the shape of this Ashram will remain as it is; now there is no need to purchase any additional land. Now the
headquarters of Samarpan Meditation is being shifted from here, and this sadhak has no clue as to the huge
loss which ‘Navsari’ and ‘South Gujarat
area’ have incurred because of all this. A donation made with the ego is so
destructive, hence I am telling you - never donate with your body, donate with
your soul, and when you donate with your soul there is no need to exhibit it.
13.
DEMORALISATION
BY THE EGO
This is a good example of the ego – of the quantum of
demoralisation which the ego does to a person. Because of the ego, just see the number of sins committed by
this sadhak of mine:
- The sin of breaking a Guru’s trust.
- The sin of grabbing land donated to a Brahmin, impiety.
- The sin of being the establishment’s project leader and in spite of that not completing the project.
- The sin of fooling the ‘police’ by not informing them of the ongoing Court case.
- The sin of giving wrong information to the Government officials.
- The sin of committing contempt of Court.
Now
what should I do! If this was an article, then I could have returned it. But
this is a piece of land, where the religious belief of thousands of sadhaks is
connected. The Ashram has been developed with the money and efforts donated by
thousands of sadhaks, and the interest
of sadhaks is paramount for me. Now I pray to God to forgive this sadhak,
because my sadhak is not doing this, his ‘ego’ is making him do it.
You can hate liquor but not the drunkard, hence the sadhak is separate and his ego is
separate. It is necessary to consider these topics separately.
You only have to ensure that you do not allow your ego
to have control over you like that sadhak. I used to consider this sadhak to be
one of the four main pillars of Samarpan Meditation, but that pillar of mine has been destroyed by the termite-like ego.
Even today I only remember the good times spent with
that sadhak - the trip to Makrana to purchase marble; in every programme this
sadhak would look after the kitchen, he used to love cooking food and feeding
people; and without being attracted to big ‘programmes’ he used to stay back in
the kitchen. And when this sadhak was in the kitchen, I used to be free of the
worry of the ‘meals’ and breakfast, administrative and other matters. This
sadhak always used to ensure that there was a peaceful atmosphere around me,
whether it was at Baba Dham or the Ashram.
Even now the main idea for the plan of purchasing land
for Ashrams through the collective efforts of the sadhaks, of building a colony
with the Ashram and Ashram along with the colony that is being considered, was
first given to me by this sadhak.
Today, the other Ashrams are being developed through the collective efforts of
this plan.
I am telling you all this because this sadhak is not bad, the ego within him is bad. Save yourself
from this ego and as it is said, isn’t it, that when the One above shuts one door, then He opens ten other doors.
Very soon we will come to know which these ten doors are, and where they are
situated. I used to feel obliged to that
sadhak at that time, and I feel obliged even now – that he gave land for
Guru-karya. But if his ego expects that
all the sadhaks should be obliged to him then having this expectation itself is
wrong. Let alone the ordinary sadhaks, no one even knows him now. At that
time, the old sadhaks knew him; and now the number of sadhaks is in lakhs
(millions), and they know only those whom they see in front of them. Now who will make him understand this point!

NEW
PLEDGE
Whatever God does, He does it for the best. My pledge
of completing eight Divine Idols has been fulfilled – I always used to come out
of the state of deep meditation (Samadhi) just to fulfill this pledge.
But this time there was no pledge left to be fulfilled
which I needed to place before myself to come out of that state. This time I
had thought of staying in the state of ‘deep meditation’ (Samadhi) during
‘Mahashivratri’ because all the work in my life had been completed; and hence I
had named my successors, but it seems some work still remains to be done. One is to select a pure and holy place for
the ‘Samadhi’ and the other is to pass on the message which was given to me by
the Jain Gurus to give to the Jain Munis and Jain Sadhvis (lady hermits) – that
work still remains. Now I take a pledge to complete all this work as my
Jain Gurus in the Himalayas have obtained liberation and the Jain Munis and
Jain Sadhvis in society desire to obtain liberation. And they are close to
liberation, they can easily climb two steps – they are just two steps away.
I have been able to complete these eight Anushthans only
with your help and for this I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I am extremely thankful to you for showing your
character by maintaining peace and goodwill in the face of very adverse
circumstances. The support you have provided is very big – for the next 800
years the future generations will benefit by the support you have given. Today, I am distributing the reward (punya)
of all these Anushthans amongst all of you, and I pray to God that you
obtain the state of liberation in this birth, because you had taken birth for
this purpose. Lots of Blessings to you all
Yours
Babaswami
