设定解脱为目标

今早打開電郵,收到了一封非常重要的信,細細咀嚼信裏的内容,一遍又一遍,是提醒,也要自省。

My salutations to all pious souls

It is mostly believed that Moksha is the state of liberation that can be attained by the soul after death.  But the soul is in a state of liberation already and so there is no question of the soul attaining liberation.  It is the karma and the perishable form of the physical body which are  connected with this life and so if at all anything should be liberated, it is the connection with the karma and the perishable form of the physical body in this life.  In fact, the purpose of every human life is to attain Moksha.  If man will only go through life with the sole purpose of attaining Moksha, he/she will indeed lead a very happy life.

In fact, the goal of Moksha is given to a human life so that this life can be really happy/satisfying. Having Moksha as a goal in your life is really the key to a happy life and now let us see how your life can be happy by having this goal.

At the onset, let us understand that joy/happiness and sorrow/unhappiness are both a part of life but human beings remember the unhappy moments more often than the happy moments.  As a result of this, man makes himself more miserable.

Dhyan (Meditation) is a state which is above and higher than the state of  happiness and unhappiness. Through meditation, a person can develop the state of witnessing and so he will neither be happy nor sad. The latter are only states of the mind.  Dhyan, on the other hand, enhances the state of the soul (Atmabhav or sense of soul feeling) and if the person leads his/her life with Moksha as the goal before him, then he/she will go through life with the feeling of Atmabhav.

Keeping Moksha as a goal and working towards this is similar to a student who works towards the goal of getting 100 upon 100 in Maths. Moksha is a high state of dhyan and when a sadhak puts in efforts in this direction, his life will be happy and balanced. Such a sadhak will experience a kind of inner satisfaction in this very life. Since this satisfaction will be an inner one,  it will also be a stable one. Based on this, we can say that if Moksha is our goal in this life, we will go through life in a state of joy and satisfaction.  This goal in our life will enhance our sense of soul-feeling (Atmabhav) and reduce our focus on the physical.  The suffering in life is related to the physical body (and not to the soul): so if we make use of the physical body to attain the state of Moksha , then we can say that that our life and this life in the human form has been worth it/meaningful.

Today, I have completed 30 years of my married life and I felt the desire to share the experiences of this life with you all and so I wrote this message.  This is the summary of my 50 years of penance (sadhana).

Lots of Blessings to you all.
